Takamitsu Nakao has 16 years experience in Japan’s IT industry, including 10 years experience in the open source industry lead by Linux. He started in the early stages of the open source industry in Japan (around 2000), taking up a position in marketing and business union construction, handling business planning and promoting and constructing partnerships. He also actively participated in external activities. Through external groups such as OADG and OSDL, and through cooperation with other companies, he participated in the popularization of open source. Afterwards, he became a member of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan’s partner organization IPA’s Open Source Software Center’s public relations group and handled the promotion of regional open source. While promoting open source, he also promoted desktop Linux and worked hard to commercialize it. In March 2008, he moved to Shanghai to take the position of general manager and CEO of a Shanghai open source company and establish this registered company. He was fully responsible for establishing client relationships and acted as the supervisor of Shanghai development projects. In June 2009 he established Anhui Opensource Software Inc. to realize the dream of building a bridge between Chinese and Japanese businesses.
